Jamsen Law
Born and grew up in Hong Kong, Jamsen Law's artworks have been exhibited, presented and screened in festivals in Europe, Asia Pacific, North and South America, such as Videobrasil International Electronic Art Festival, Transmediale Berlin and Ogaki Biennale. His solo screenings were presented in Toronto, Tokyo, Busan and Hong Kong, and theatrical, video and curatorial projects were supported by Hong Kong Arts Development Council for numerous times.
LAW started curating screenings for Microwave International Media Arts Festival back in 2002 and subsequently curated educational artist-in-residence programmes and talks. Start Making Senses, a talk series on different sensory experience in new media technology, presented by Leisure and Cultural Services Department in 2010, Intermedia Collaboration series: Asian New Media Lab, supported by Hong Kong Arts Development Council in 2010, and Hongkong-Asia Exchange Project, supported by Asia Cultural Council in 2009, illustrates Law’s commitment to East/Southeast Asian arts and interests in international exchange and media exploration.
In 2018, Law set up nProjekt, a new art initiative, to gather people and resources for exploring new forms of arts engagement, artistic research and artist enrichment.
